Expecting Trouble is going to an end.

I’m working on the last part to Expecting Trouble right now in fact. I took a break when my keyboard melted from the heat. Days like this are why I hate living in Florida.

Did get a chance to catch up a little on PPMB, now I’m only two or three weeks behind. I did notice that Doggieboy posted another part to Scarlett’s Tale. I’m a sucker for all his Apocalyptic Daria tales.

I have to mention the funest Daria tale I read in a while. Don’t Wound What You Can’t Kill. I loved it. It’s by thatLONERchick. It’s out on PPMB or FanFiction.net.

I’ve got to figure out what I’m going to do after I finish Expecting Trouble. Should I go real world like Expecting Trouble or something more flashy like some of my other stories. (On the Clock, Of Metal and Men, Avalon etc etc.) Maybe both. Ummmmm.

I’ll have to think about it for awhile.

Well I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off but I finally managed to post an update to Expecting Trouble.

Also in case anyone is interested I’m posting a Neon Genesis Evangelion story over on FanFiction.Net. Balanced Returned. It’s not to bad.

Well another day of beautiful weather down here in Florida. For a duck maybe.

Welcome to another wonderful week.

It’s been awhile since I posted and I’m pretty sure there are hordes of people who have been crying their eyes out over that. Ok maybe two.

one?

Anyway. I’m running a few stories over at PPMB at the moment.

On the Clock is a Watchman style superhero tale. Mostly about Quinn joining a superhero team setup by Daria after years of being a Punisher/Rorschach type. Part 4 is up currently. I think there is going to be six parts in total.

Complications is a take off on the events of My Night at Daria’s with one tiny little change. (Sorry Tom) It’s on part 8 of ten at most.

Expecting Trouble, this is a little angst fest that hopefully is going to stir up some trouble. Quinn is knocked up at fifteen. She’s keeping the baby and the whole town is about to offer up a piece of their minds. Part 3 is the current.

Lots of good stuff out there on PPMB. Doggieboy is running Things Fall Apart so that’s worth a stop over there just for that.

Turnabout Confusion seems to be heading for a grand finale after going for what? Over a year I think. I’m going to miss that one when it’s done.

I’m doing Script Frenzy this month and with half the month gone I haven’t made much progress. The format is taking some adjusting to get use to it.

The Horror oh the horror!

I decided to replace my three year old frankstein computer and just as I was doing so, my "never going to die" hard drive did just that. 300 gigs of data gone in a blink. Now I had a backup program that I had free access to for awhile and all the data is safely backed up but it apparently uses parity to increase compression time. So I've spent the last two weeks trying to decompress and piece together file chunks to rebuild things like oh lets say ... all the freaking Daria episodes. I went insane three days ago by the way. That plus a few people I work with have granted me access to their music and movie files to give me something to run on for awhile.

But I digress, I managed to update Complications and Other Side finally. Lots of great stuff being posted so I've got to catch up on my reading now as well.

Still waiting for the booties announcement.

Hope everyone is having a better week than I am but hey here's some motivational messages that work for me.

Ok so I have this thing. Lets call it an internal alarm clock. Every morning I wake up before whatever time my alarm clock is set for. It usually or rather used to be about fifteen minutes. Now it's exactly an hour. Understandably this is a good thing in that I don't ever over sleep but it leaves me with an extra hour that I'm to out of it to write, work or do anything. Needless to say it's driving me crazy.

But that's not why I'm posting. I'm posting about the booties. Last year I got a lot of noms and didn't win anything. This year same thing and lets be honest. Kristen Bealer is going to have to kick her cat out of it's bedroom for all the booties she's going to get. I went through the list and could only find three that even I could bring myself to vote for my stuff. Sorry I really like Avalon and An Overlooked Flaw. Those are the ones I bore the people at my work with despite the fact that half those people don't even know who Daria is. I'm working on it but they're really slow to see the greatness of the show. Only a few people have changed jobs to get away from these talks so I'm still trying.

So once again I'm expecting not to win but, that's not the point either. Kristen deserves to rest in the knowledge that she was overwhelmed with votes and that means you need to get off your collective butts and vote.

Don't sit there and think you have plenty of time because you don't, you really don't. Go vote.

My predications are Kristen Bealer ruling the world with a chocolate covered fist. Doggieboy and NightGoblyn smashing down a few innocent villages themselves.

And of course if anyone wants to throw me a few sympathy votes while ensuring that Kristen, Doggieboy and NightGoblyn get their just due feel free. It'll be just between us. Besides it's my birthday (Jan 31) and wouldn't a bootie look cool next to a cake.

I've been busy

I haven't posted in a bit because I've actually had a few things to do. I also see that there is a lot of great activity over on PPMB and of course Daria Fandom Blog II.

I got an update to Order and Chaos up and posted. I ended the series there because I'm not really wanting to do an outright war fic at the moment and that's where it would go next.

The Other Side will be getting an update later tonight and I'm probably going to be starting a new fic tomorrow. I'm not going to let out any information but it's going to be fun.

TAG asked a question about improving the fandom so if anyone has any suggestions that don't include getting rid of me then click on the link over on the right and give them to him.

Income tax refund should be here next weekend so I doubt I'll have any chance to write for at least a week afterwards.

Doggieboy posted an update to his Apocalyptic Daria: Scarlett's Tale. Go read it, nuff said.

It's been another wonderful week in the amazing adventures of ... Ok that just sucked. Actually hasn't been to bad of a week though. Couple of great stories being posted over at PPMB. People like undefinedlust, Disco316, Dark Kuno, Gene and a few others are posting up a storm. Great stuff too.

I finally started my SteamPunk story Other Side and the next part is finally going to get Steamy. Hope (One of the characters, check out TAG's character project, Chipmunk to see what she looks like.) Is going to take Daria and Jane on a tour.

Order and Chaos is working toward an ending I think. I'll let you know in two or so parts.

I've been sort of busy lately, starting out the new year and all that same old tired excuses. I'm looking out over the year and hoping to get a chance to do a couple of stories.

Number one is to try a completely Canon based story, nothing extra. Something that could in theory be added to Canon without any change in the existing story but at the same time be mind blowing. I'm hoping to base it off one particular scene in Lab Brat.

Number two is a look at Tiffany and what the concept of being Fat means in some cultures.

Another year gone by in the blink of an eye.

I posted some updates and actually think I might have stunned some people with the current part to Arrival. No death threats yet but I'm sure they're in the mail. The next part to Order and Chaos will have some fireworks. Daddy isn't going to be pleased to find out what his little girl's have been up to.

You HAVE to go over to the Daria Fandom Blog II and check out TAG's current project with a few others. I already have an idea to use one of the characters in my Steampunk story that should be starting soon.

Hey what happened to TAG doing interviews of some of the people in the Fandom, I really liked those. I was hoping he'd do Brother Grimace or Doggieboy and NightGoblyn. Maybe I should start a web petition to try to convince him to restart them. Now where did I put those pictures of the blonde penguins.

Lesser non important news.

Anyway. I actually started selling a few copies of New Moon. Why didn't someone tell me there was this book by a really popular (currently) author out there with the same name. I had to find out from a twelve year old. Anyway I'm currently in hiding from the people that have bought copies. Remember I live in the midwest, in a shack, in the middle of a federally owned wildlife reserve. You can't get here, so don't try. Don't believe fictitious reports of me living elsewhere. They're lies, lies I tell you.

Sorry but I'm happy that the holidays are over, now I just have to start worrying about normal stuff.

I posted some updates and hope to get some more done later or tomorrow. I finally figured out what my Steampunk Daria story is going to be about. Of course it won't go steamy until the third part but still it's going to be pretty cool.

Order and Chaos is up to part 16 and Arrival is at part 5

I also did a oneshot for Christmas called Murphy's Christmas. I'm not going to say where but there's this link over to the right.

Did anyone else get a tiny shiver when reading Quinn: Quinndy-Lou Who. Knowing this is part of the prequel to the HD series. It just seems like I got the tiny foreshadowing of Jane/Daria but I can't figure out what seemed to imply that. It really showed off why neither daughter likes Helen much. I was sort of wondering about Amy and Daria's relationship in the HD verse and this answered that with a really loud bang.

Alright, I wasn't going to mention it but I have to. I did the NaNoWriMo and finished it up. (In case you missed that fact.) One of the prizes/awards (whatever) was getting it set up on Createspace with a free proof copy.

So I did. It's up there now but I'll be honest. This is actually the last story I would have intended to publish. Even this kind of publishing.

Also they make the price way to high. If anyone is really bored and has absolutely nothing else to read. I mean nothing, I'm talking you've already reread the boxes of dry goods in your pantry. You can check it out here.

Two weeks without writing was hell but I'm back in action. Takes a bit longer to write something but I managed to get some updates to both Order and Chaos and Arrival posted up on PPMB.

Lots of great stuff being posted by a lot of new people.

Disco316, ninetwelve, Roxanne M, NapalmKracken, Dark Kuno to name a few.

It's great getting all sorts of different takes. I'm the kind of person who like staring at every single facet of a crystal to see what changes. I won't be happy until every single possible variation on the Daria mythos has been explored in detail.

Back to the keyboard.

I managed to get my little DAYLIGHT and Tales of the Ringbearers blurbs going and had just named my LATIFA story. Then I was called briefly away from the computer and broke two fingers in my left hand. The ring and middle fingers and I'm left handed to boot. There goes typing for awhile.

(I'm currently typing this one handed and I can confirm I am not ambidextrous.)

Going to be a few days off.

I'm sure Doggieboy will fill the gaps with updates to his work.

I realized a little while ago that there was only 31 more days left in 2008. I can't believe how fast this year has seemed to go by.

Didn't manage to get much writing done this weekend. A bit but nothing to post up yet.

So not much to chat about but hopefully I'll get some writing done during the week. I did figure out where I might be heading with the SteamPunk Daria story I'm looking at. Can't tell you yet but it's coming. sooner or later it's coming.

Have a good week everybody and don't let the shoppers get you. I hear they can smell fear from a block away.

Thanksgiving is over. No serious injuries so all an all not a bad holiday.

I finished up Bet and posted more parts to Arrival and Order and Chaos.

There's this great little tale called Welcome Back over on the PPMB that I'm digging just a bit.

Some people are looking and talking about SteamPunk for Daria, the whole concept just screams Daria to me. I can just see Daria in the workers boots and khaki pants with that square lantern on a belt. Smudges of grease on her shirt and face. Oversized wrench as she puts something together. What's funny is I just saw a SteamPunk movie. The Mutant Chronicles. I didn't even know it was supposed to be SteamPunk until I saw the airship with coal burners.

I'm taking some notes down for both a Daylight and Tales of the Ringbearers story. The Daylight one is going to be set in Desperate Seasons and the Ringbearers tale will take place on world being overrun with Left 4 Dead zombies.

After them I am doing a SteamPunk Daria story dammit. I don't care I need to write one of those.

I'm also looking at an idea for LATIFA. Really sketchy in my head right now but I think it's going to have something to do with Daria, Quinn, Jane and Tom are the reincarnations of aliens born into human form.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Oh and now that the holiday is over we can go back to harassing Doggieboy for more of his Apocalyptic Daria stories. Brave New World and Scarlett's Tale.

Sorry for the delay. A division of what changes are you going to make to your insurance this year were storming the fences. A platoon of Daddy everyone is going to see Twilight took out my command center earlier today.

I'm up to 65k on my NaNoWriMo story and I'm looking forward to Script Frenzy in April. That's a completely new medium for me to try.

I see TAG is gearing up for Lovestruck Atomic Teenage Invaders From Mars.

Only bad thing is I sat down to write something up in this verse and drew a complete blank. Now normally I can come up with something under any circumstances so this is unsettling to say the least. Hopefully some people will throw out some stories and I'll get inspired.

Sorry but I'm overjoyed. I just wrote 50k words in less than a month and I didn't even have to take a day off work or duct tape any of my kids to a wall.

The 2nd to the 15th. Wow, sorry but that impresses the hell out of myself but that's not really that hard to do.

Anyway I'm going to go bask in the wonder that is me. I do need a new keyboard now. I think I killed this one.

Ok I couldn't come up with anything snappy for a title.

I posted up new parts to Bet and Order and Chaos last night.

Bet actually surprised me, it's the first story where I've made a major plot change to the background on purpose. But I did it and I'm keeping it. Maybe I'll kill someone extra off in another story.

Lots of good stuff being tossed up on PPMB lately. Go read some of it.

Brother Grimace is proving how cruel a person can be by posting tidbits of his not yet posted stories on the Dariawiki. There's something wrong with that.

I'm trying to hit the 50k mark on my namowrimo story and it's been fun. I think I might hit 55 to 60k total before I start going back and trying to add something that resembles descriptive text. It's actually sort of fun. After it's done I might post it somewhere for people to shred into tiny little pieces. But that's the best part.

Another weekend goes by and I think I'm only two or three days further behind that I was when it started.

I did manage to get a couple of posts up and I'm up to 25000+ on my NaNoWriMo story New Moon.

Couple of stories active over on PPMB and I have to recommend going over there and reading them. Of course no surprise Doggieboy has a heavy hitter running the bases already. The newest Apocalyptic Daria: Scarlett's Tale is killer.

Remember to check out Order and Chaos and Bet after you're done reading his stuff.

Just for fun I'm going to show off some of my sketches. I've been trying to capture a few scenes and I just can't seem to get them right.

I'm not saying what characters they were supposed to be because then my shame becomes even greater but they aren't bad enough to blind anyone.

It's like this. I went over and read some of the stuff about National Novel Writing Month. It didn't say anything about the stuff being good. So I'm doing it. I signed up and everything. New Moon is at 12,326 words even if the gadget says different. It worked before damn it.

I'm about to post a new part to Chaos and Order and Bet is at part two now.

TAG started a brainstorming thread. Some very useful ideas in there but I would never snatch any of these great ideas that have been so innocently put out there ... mine, get your own.

Doggieboy is melting my brain again with Apocalyptic Daria: Scarlett's tale. Someone go pitchfork him to speed things up a bit.

I managed to get a couple of posts up for Order and Chaos and I wrapped up Babysitting.

I have to admit I like the concept of Quinn and Daria having to deal with a child. I might try a story like it with a more canon take on the characters having to deal with the same, Wham, you have a baby. Can't you just see Sandi complaining that Quinn's baby didn't go with her outfit or Jane offering to paint the baby or complaining that Daria never cared about paint fumes before.

Got another story in the works called Bet. It's still at the outline stage but it's going to get at least a three parter.

I started the novel for National Novel Writing Month. At this rate I should be able to get it done in time, of course now that I dared to say that something is going to happen to prevent me from finishing in time. I did through some ... lets just say friends of mine in it. And it's not fanfiction, this might be a very bad sign.

If you haven't been by PPMB lately then you really need to. Kristen Bealer just wrapped up Blood, sweat and Cheers and RLobinske is working on John Lane 35. Also Roentgen and Brother Grimace are doing Erebus and some new guys, SoCalledGoodGuy and Disco316 are adding to the pile of good stuff to read.

I tried to do some artwork for TAG of Halloween but I stink way to much so it ended up really bad. I'll try again another time.

That's right, I'm hitting the biggest crossover (somewhat) in fanfiction. Order and Chaos is started.

I'm hoping to write a few parts for it tomorrow and maybe a part for Babysitting.

I'm feeling a little restless and I might try my hand at the National Novel Writing Month. Realistically I'm not going to enter the contest but I am going to try to write a 50 thousand word novel in a month. Once I figure out a concept I'll post info about it here.

Couple of things going on over at PPMB and TAG is covering all the angles this Halloween.

I wrapped up Ashes and Kisses and posted another part to Babysitting. (And of course the first of my Halloween tales.)

I feel lazy

I updated Babysitting and Ashes and Kisses and that's it. All weekend and only two posts. I might as well have slept the whole weekend. Ashes and Kisses is going to wrap up in one more part and babysitting has maybe two more to go. Depends on Helen now, I think she's about ready for a change in her life.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it seem like a big step with the Ringbearer and DAYLIGHT events occurring. I still think someone (with more skill than me) needs to do a more 'canon' approach to the shared event idea.

Still working on ideas for Trick or Treat II, all I'll say is I'm a bad person.

I think I've hit the bulk of the stories I wanted to do this year with just a few left behind. So here's something for everyone.

How did your writing goals go this year?

Ok the UK is charging someone for writing Internet porn fanfiction. Ok that's not a problem. Everyone remember I'm a 4'4 600 pound Asian man with really great teeth who lives in France.

Just finished up But Why? It was a short one.

That leaves Ashes and Kisses and Babysitting as my only active stories at the moment.

Ashes and Kisses has a couple of little events to happen and one big one coming up shortly. Two parts to go.

Babysitting has maybe three parts left. Not sure it really depends on a choice Daria has to make.

Then I have Trick or Treat II. I'm not so sure this one is only going to be three tales this year. It might have one or two more than that.

Oh look, TAG also found a case of a woman being arrested for deleting an online character. I think the defense needs to argue it was a mercy killing because the guy was such a noob that he took this whole marriage thing in some games, way to serious and hooked up with a nut job but I'll give credit where credit is do, at least it was actually a woman and not a fifty year old guy.

It can't be Sunday already.

I'll be updating all three of my current stories later tonight and the other updates have continued over on PPMB. Though looking at the updates it appears to be Origins of the Ringbearers and DAYLIGHT stories as the bulk. Kristen Bealer running Blood, Sweat, and Cheers seems to be the only canonical style story running. I'm not sure what to comment about Farmyard Funnies except it's funny.

I think I have a Zero Hour concept for DAYLIGHT that I'm going to try as well as a The Sea Comes In story.

Added Wyatt from End of the Line to the known Ringbearers list on the Dariawiki. He has a serious contribution to the Ringbearer stories I did earlier but that won't be released until part 10.

Started looking at ideas for Trick or Treat II. So that's actually going to come along nicely, I think or hope.

I have to say the Fanfiction has changed a lot since I joined the PPMB. With the Tales of the Ringbearers and DAYLIGHT shared universes plus some regular stories, it's interesting.

I wonder if we could do the same kind of thing staying close to canon as well. Has that been done before? I don't mean a round robin like Evil Daria but a shared story line with different people writing different days or from different character's perspective.

I haven't seen anything like that but I don't see a reason it wouldn't work.

I'm about to sit down and go through a few things so I decided to say hi or something.

HI!

Anyway. I'm having a bit of trouble find DAYLIGHT so I'm going to quit beating my head against it for a while. It's a great concept and hopefully some more people will write a few stories so I can rip them off. ... I mean become inspired by them.

Started a bit of a goofy story called babysitting. Quinn's got a baby for ten days. Cute little fellow called Xavier.

I'm thinking I might suggest that we need to list the clusters of multiverses. Currently running we have the DAYLIGHT cluster, the Tales of the Ringbearers cluster, the Corps of the Ringbearers cluster and the cluster of normal stories. Might be a good idea to keep them slightly separated. I think some of the DAYLIGHT guys are eyeballing the Corps of the Ringbearers girlfriend and you know it's about to be a fight.

I'm pretty sure the hitman are coming after this batch. I think I've managed to offend every target demographic known to mankind with at least one of these stories. It's ok though, I have a kevlar vest and the dogs will be outside for a few days. Remember I'm from the South so even though I currently don't own any guns I'm sure the rednecks down the road do and are looking for any dark clothed weapon welding assassins to practice shooting on.

This DAYLIGHT concept is a good one but I can't see Day One yet. Maybe during the week it'll occur to me. Bother Grimace and Roentgen have both posted Day One stories and they look way cooler than aftermath stories like mine. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact they are way better writers, nah couldn't be.

Still would like to see some more people do Tales of the Ringbearers stories. I like the concept RLobinske is writing about, cluster multiverses. In this cluster and it's thousands, millions of universes A happened. In this cluster B happened. Think about that for a minute. Not only is reality duplicated into infinity but the multiverses as entities themselves are duplicated into infinity. It's mind boggling.

Oh wait I need to pack for my trip into hiding. See you when the crust starts to cool.

Sorry personal question I guess. Don't panic, I don't know where any of you live. Just a decision I have to make in a story. About to start another story as soon as I finish this post. It's going to be one of the ones that has been on the burner for awhile. It's going to be one of these three stories. I'm not sure which yet.

1. Daria Arrives.
Daria shows up in Lawndale a year after her family moves there.

2. But Why?
Quinn wants to know why Daria put away her camera.

3. I knew it!
Daria finds out Helen was married briefly to another man and becomes convinced he is her real father.

Kristen Bealer just started a new story and if you haven't read it yet then you're a goof.

Ok I wasn't going to do this but I've been fooling around with Paintshop so here goes yet another of my really bad drawings. Since Brother Grimace is going to skin me for this one, direct all complaints to the nearest hospital. It's bad, so sue me.

That's pretty much how I fell this weekend. Managed to get an update to Mobius done but if it's a little wonky or anything I can blame it on the fever.

Nothing serious mind you but still feeling utterly miserable. Ah well maybe I'll feel better in the morning.

Here's a little something I did on my PC to pass the time while I can't get out of bed. The jacket looks about four sizes to big and there's something terribly wrong with her neck. And I'm pretty sure her glasses are about thirty percent bigger on her left side. Maybe that's why she's so grumpy.

I managed to start Mobius Strip and post another part to Journey's Debt now at part 4 and a new Tales of the Ringbearers short (Rules of Engagement). Sometimes it Rains is up to part 11.

Mobius Strip is only going to be a handful of parts but I'm going to have some fun with it.

After that I'm going to go back to some nice and quiet angst or drama.

This story is part of the Tales of the Ringbearers series. The three stories Last Man, Diplomacy and Artifact were the forebears of this tale but it owes debt to the works of Brother Grimace and Doggieboy. If it's bad, that's all me.

Spent the weekend writing a couple of stories in this world (multiverse). There will be a third one posted sometime this week. Consider these introductions for a larger story I'll be doing next. Reading the first three is going to be need to follow where the next picks up.

Tales of the Ringbearers Journey's Debt. I'm hoping this will go about ten parts or so. The first part is written and now I have to go clean it up a bunch while I start the second part.

I wanted to go somewhere besides a zombiefic. As much as I love zombies, they aren't going to be the "bad guys" in this one.

Two Aunts is got two more parts, I think. And Sometimes it Rains is about to have some excitement.

Seriously though, I'd love to see a few more people hop in with some Ringbearers stories. I'm drooling over what TAG or NightGoblyn might come up with if they did stories.

Any way I wrapped up Starbright. It was fun to play in that world a bit but truthfully I can do without trying to write pop songs. For a good laugh go over to PPMB and check out my sad, sad attempts.

Anyway I started Sometimes It Rains today. This is the Jane gets a sister story I've wanted to do for awhile.

TAG has started a new story and I'm intrigued.

Another story I'm starting is going to be Two Aunts. Amy and Jake's younger sister end up staying with the Morgendorffers that last summer before Daria goes away to school.

Counting down to the one year anniversary posting on the PPMB. Sept 9. (The day I joined.) Just a few days after reading one of the John Lane stories out on fanfiction.net.

Something to think about, was Amanda really gone as much as Vincent. She makes far more appearances in the show. (Though once only as a pair of feet.) Even being around to star or be drawn (I never did figure out if that was supposed to be animated or "real life") in the MultiMedia project Jane and Daria did. I'm starting to think she was around but not available for Trent and Jane. Maybe hanging out with her hippie buddies. Not that she was at the house, but out somewhere nearby making art or whatever. Lets be blunt, a pack of wolves could have done a better job raising a family.

Here's a question to ponder, assuming the Tom was physically attracted to Daria. (He was willing to kiss, make out and even have sex with her.) Why did he make the play for Jane first instead of Daria. Did he flip a coin or what?

Has it really been a year already?

Still trying to get some time to do some writing but it getting to be a struggle. I have to admit it's much easier when the kids are in school.

One of the prices of being a single parent, I guess.

Still fighting off a couple of story ideas but I think my next one is going to be a short one dealing with Jane getting a new sister and how she deals with trying to explain her parents to her new younger sister. (Kind of a twist on the Veronica style story.)

After that I'm still undecided. Mostly it depends if on avail time.

I am thinking about doing a story based off Irish Myths. I would love to write Daria getting in an argument with Nuada. And Quinn having Lugh get her a drink would be priceless. "But he said he was The Many Skilled."

Another week gone by and a little bit of writing done. Started another story. New Life also I'm working on I Have Another Sister?, it's a Veronica style story but with Jane as the big sister.

Someone asked me an interesting question the other day. What kind of writer do I consider myself?

I had to think about that for a while. I couldn't come up with an answer and I think I know why. I DON'T think of myself as a writer. Sure I do some writing and honestly I love it but I'm not a writer. I could say something about not being that good or something else but I think it comes down to self image. I just don't see myself as a writer, kind of like the smoker that can't quit until they see themselves as a nonsmoker. I just like to do it and that's enough for me.

Just something I wanted to share.

I just posted another update to Avalon on PPMB and tossed up Continue on my site. I wasn't really happy with it so I ended it after just a couple of parts. Rita is the devil in it. And I played around with the idea of Jake having a little sister.

I also posted a few scenes from Starting Over that I had written when I was playing with the story. (Before I killed it.)

TAG has apparently joined the collection of people not taking very good care of themselves. Someone call his mother/wife/girlfriend/creditor, anyone who has a vested interest in keeping him alive and tell on him.

In really big news. Doggieboy put up his first epilog for A Little Vacation.

All in all it's been a slow week but not to slow. I would like to offer up something to the Irredeemable Daria characters. Tom, mostly considered harmless except for the whole his entire reason to exist was they wanted Daria to have a boyfriend.

How about the fact he went after one girl before ending it with her friend. If Tom had broken up with Jane before he started making moves on Daria that would be different. But no, he went after his girlfriend's best friend while they were still dating. Here's a question for someone to ponder. If Daria had shot him down would he have broken up with Jane or tried to continue the relationship.

To me that's why Tom is irredeemable and why he has yet to play any real role in my stories. I tend to be very biased against cheaters.

For the title of this blog I offer The Oher Side Of Time: And All That We've Won by The Sidhe. He/she wrapped it up. This tale in both it's parts is incredible to say the least. If you haven't read it then you need to.

Doggieboy's A Little Vacation is closing on it's end with just three epilogs left. I just can't stand the thought of this one ending. sniff sniff. It's such a happy little tale of love and zombies and friendship and zombies.

I am freaking out about only having one story active right now. It's messing with my head.

Not much happening at the moment. I thought I would update my current projects list.

Also I will be updating EarthFall this weekend and ending the story. I might come back to it at another time but I'm not carrying the story very well in a regular series. I might throw out a few EarthFall oneshots a little later in the year.

Ok I've wrapped up My Sons and posted another part to Avalon (Part 16)

In real news NightGoblyn wrapped up The Misery Chicks and you have to go read it. This story along with A Little Vacation by Doggieboy are going to rule the Booties next year, everybody else go home, it's done.

Gouka Ryuu has dealt out a Legion of Lawndale Heroes Minis and LSauchelli has offered up a Lawndale's Finest oneshot. Both are great and maybe it might keep us all from going twitchy on the writers of those worlds while we're waiting for them to update.

Dennis has released another update for Turnabout Confusion.

Is anyone else getting sick of reality inferring with people updating their fics. I mean, c'mon, shouldn't the government offer some form of restitution for all the Daria fans these people are keeping off the streets. But no they would rather give money to velvet pictures of Elvis, he's not even dead yet. So write your congressman or equivalent and demand support for the Daria arts.

It's not any sillier than them spending millions to build a road that doesn't go anywhere.

The members of Daria fandom are a finite resource that should be intent on maintaining their health if for no other reason than reproduction of new Daria fans. New fans are going to become rarer and rarer as time goes by. This can only be offset by a friendly doorman being there for the stragglers who discover Daria on the web, standing there with an umbrella and a cup of hot cocoa inviting them in from the rain. New blood is out there and they will come but it would be nice to make sure some of the old timers are still around to greet them.

I just posted some updates, where else but the PPMB. I have to recommend checking out the Daria Fandom blog II through that handy dandy link to the right. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it sure seems like TAG has a really important message up today.

Also there is a new Iron Chef by DigiSim and Solaris plans to review some fanfiction.

Now to discuss something. I'm dyslexic and considered nonfunctional (what that means I'm really not sure). Basically when most people see a word, they see letters, the parts of the word. For me it's a solid, I'm unable to break words and even sentences down into their parts or structure. For me the finished product is all there is.

I am lucky enough that my dyslexia only effects output, meaning I can read perfectly and understand what I'm read but I cannot find mistakes even if their obvious.

If you go down that page to a section called Reading and spelling you will see several bullet points that anyone familiar with my stories will recognize right off.

This isn't a cop out, I rather enjoy when some people like Derek and DigiSim for example point out the usually humorous mistakes. (PLEASE Don't you dare stop doing it.) My work needs all the help it can get.

I'm offering up this information as an explanation, I'm not lazy, or uncaring when it comes to editing my work. I just can't see these kinds of mistakes. This also means that I'm completely at the mercy of my word processing program and I'm sure you all know how fickle they are.

Another weekend gone and I'm more tired now than I was on Friday. Well I did get some updates done.

Question time. Lets say someone started a story based loosely off some disturbing news reports from a year or so before and then just as they got around to starting it, the same thing happened again. How long should said person wait before posting the story.

Alright I posted Parts 12 and 13 for Avalon and My Sons over at the PPMB.

But in real news Size does matter Pt 20 and It's Like the Beginning of an Era Part Three are up.

Someone dig up some dirt on NightGoblyn and blackmail him into updating his stories. Even one of them. Maybe someone can talk TAG into interviewing NightGoblyn as part of his new Author Interviews project, sounds like a great way to gather some dirt or something like that.

As strange as it sounds I actually had pizza for lunch yesterday. Probably the first pizza I've had in two years. I just couldn't resist a ham, pepperoni, sausage and bacon pie.

Posted some updates to My Sons, Avalon and Breed today. Did some reading but all and all I wasted the entire day. I should be ashamed of myself but I'm not oh well.

Since my last post the great and powerful Doggieboy has graced us all with an update to A Little Vacation. Now if we can get Sidhe to throw one out as well it'll be a pretty good week. The only thing that could make it better would be a TAG story. So far we got updates from RLobinske, Brother Grimace, Dennis, LSauchelli, Cypher, BlackHole and a new story from Kristen Bealer. You can't beat a week light that again excepting the mention point.

It took all day and almost drove me insane but I finally got around to converting the .mht files on my site to html files. They have been tested in 4 browsers and three OSs so if it doesn't work ... it's you.

I guess that only took about three months of putting off and I only had to edit one in Dreamweaver. I even added Surprises not that anyone would want to read that. Seriously avoid it at all cost. The ending sucks.

Now maybe I can sit down and write something.

Been sort of busy lately but things appear to be thinning out a little. I just posted Part 5 to Avalon over on the PPMB and hopefully I'll get My Sons part 6 and a new EarthFall posted tomorrow.

I would list all the great stories over on PPMB right now but it's a big list. Why don't you go check it out. You know you want to. Go on I won't tell anyone. It can be our little secret.

Tomorrow is Easter of yah. The day of bunnies and chocolate or something like that. I'm not planning on getting out of bed until noon. By then the kids should be in choco coma so I'll have the place to my self.

I starting a signup sheet for volunteers to hunt down Brother Grimace and Doggieboy and chain them to their PCs until they post new parts to their respective stories.

I did manage to post a few story updates and catch up on some of my reading. I tell you some of the stuff out there I'd put up against the crap I keep wasting money on at Books a million any day.

Of course I can't do a post without mentioning A Little Vacation. It's at Part 14 now and Daria is once again safe in Lawndale. But you know most virus have a Mary vector. (A person who is for all intents and purposes immune but carries the illness.) I'm really waiting for the end to this one. Doggieboy rarely disappoints.

I posted part 3 to My Sons earlier so go read it. And while you're at PPMB check out John Lane 33.

I have to tell the truth here. It was a John Lane chapter that led me to PPMB and made me want to post Pause in Life there. So I guess RLobinske can be blamed for anything I post. LoL.

The Misery Chicks is up to Part Twelve and Size does matter is at Pt. 13. These two are worth a trip to PPMB all by themselves.

And All That We've Won Parte the Third is warming up to be as good as it's predecessor. The Sidhe is living up to his (her?) name.

Doggieboy needs to send out another Part to A Little Vacation as I'm going through withdraws.

I will be posting another part to My Sons and EarthFall and hopefully even another to Avalon this weekend.

I posted the second part to My Sons and I'm still struggling try to get the funny in my head to come out in the story and it's not working to well yet. I'm just not a visual enough writer I think.

I started My Sons over at PPMB and it's not as funny on paper so to speak as it was in my head. I don't know how big it's going to be but I'm going to stick with it and see how it goes. I mean it can't be as bad as the end of Surprises.

I missed Ranger Thorne starting another Daria/Star Wars crossover. Those Who Can. Check it out.

Doggieboy finally released Part 10 to A Little Vacation. I can have a good weekend at last.

The big news really has to be Not-Quite Forever Girl but thatLONERchick. I highly recommend reading it.

I just posted the last part to Surprises to PPMB. I have to admit I'm disappointed in the ending. The story turned on me at the end and I lost control. It slammed headfirst into happy ending at 55 mph.

EarthFall will be getting an update sometime tomorrow and I should be start My Sons this weekend.

Lots of great stuff over at the PPMB so head over and read some. I'm still waiting for another Part to A Little Vacation by Doggieboy. At this rate I'm going to have to break the little blue vial to get more zombies.

Surprises is going to get one more part before I jump into My Sons or Mobius Strip. My Sons is going to be a comedy type and Mobius Strip will be a sci-fi type of story. Taking suggestions on which one I should go to first.

I didn't get squat done this weekend but hopefully some time will come up during the week. I'm about half way through Surprises 14 and the first part to EarthFall Ep 3 is taking shape.

Darkly Daria and A Little Vacation are going strong offering up fun takes on the Daria verse. It funny that I'm already pretty sure of some of my votes for the booties next year. At the very least the bar has been set pretty high.

On another sad note it seems Ahmygoddess from the PPMB passed away. I can't say I knew him but my sincerest condolences for those that did.

Live each as if it were the last.

This is my last word on the subject.

On February 2, 2008 Cincgreen posted a review of the first part of my story EarthFall.

In the review he took portions of the story and edited them(rewrote) before publishing the review to his site.

My complaint with this was first having to discover the review by a 3^rd party source and then discovering the rewritten portions. I posted a response to my blog, his blog, and the PPMB. In this response I requested he remove the rewritten sections from the review. He has acknowledged my request and apparently denied it.

For me this matter was dead and I haven’t mentioned it again in my blog but I have responded to various prompts on the PPMB tread I started.

Now it seems he has put up another message on another blog. This one is addressed to me but he failed to inform me of its existence. (Again I had to find out from a 3^rd party.) I do think it’s time to clear up a few things.

Cincgreen did post rewritten portions of my story on his blog. I never made the claim he was trying to take credit for the story and when someone got that impression I corrected that at once. I have no objection to any review but this goes past the line of reviewing to editing in my opinion. I have made no demands for anything. I made a request, without threat or insult. Now I feel insulted.

The second blog post lets me know all I need to know about this person.

Let me offer a review of Cincgreen. By taking liberties with my work you weaken your review in my eyes because anything that distracts from a more important message is a bad thing. Next writing a blog addressed to me and not telling me is rude and to be blunt I have no more time to waste on you. Congratulations you have defeated your own message.

Finally I am emailing this to Cincgreen so there can be no doubt. My request to remove the edited sections from the review stands but feel free to review any work I’ve ever done.

I managed to get off my lazy butt and post updates to Surprises and EarthFall and they are available to read over at PPMB.

LSauchelli started a new story (Darkly Daria) and killed off Jane and Trent at the very beginning and that's all I'm giving away. This is the story to read while you're waiting for Doggieboy to release more of A Little Vacation.

I'm still working on my converting project and due to a busy schedule might not get it done this weekend. Also I've discovered that trying to read the PPMB on a PSP is enough to drive me insane.

Sorry been busy. I have Surprises 13 almost done and EarthFall Ep 2 pt 3 is all but done.

I'm having the problem were my next story is inferring with my current ones and Avalon is kicking and screaming for me to do something with it. Next few days are pretty busy so I don't know if I'll get much done before the weekend.

I know I haven't been around for very long but I really miss some of the Iron Chefs from just a few months ago. Some of the best stories and ideas seemed to come out of those. It was nice to see a few of them go up in the last few days. Home Schooled and Out with her eyes were some of the coolest stories to write.

Size does matter is at PT 4 and I'm getting really curious about it. It's making me think and you wouldn't believe how much I enjoy that.

I would kill for another part to A Little Vacation, just tell me who, when where.

Well another day another 14 cents deeper in debt. Maybe I should take up panhandling it would have to pay better than what I'm making now.

No updates to any of my stories because of an increase in people with way more money than brains.

Let me give you some un-Daria advice. If your PC cost $250 then don't try to sync an $800 phone to it. If you start deleting things under the windows folder because you "don't use them" your computer will die. The registry is not taking up that much space please don't try to "Clean it up."

Ok that's enough work garbage.

A funny Jane story occurred to me this afternoon. What lengths would Jane go to trying to keep her extended family around her. Daria was portrayed as the clingy one in canon so what if Jane wakes up one morning and realizes that her family is spread to the four winds and Daria is leaving soon. I'm kind of booked for a while and this doesn't really grab me but if anyone wanted to write it, I would love to read it.

I just got word that someone reviewed my work and honestly I expected a bad one and I wasn't disappointed.

I have to admit that the person's criticism is fair but I can't call in constructive because that would of required him to send it to me or let me know that it happened.

I do have one small problem. I think it's rather arrogant and rude to take my work, rewrite and then publish it to his own site. His review stands well without this act.

Maybe this is a nit to pick but I think it's mine to do.

I am requesting without any authority to force him to do so and without a threat of any kind, to please remove the rewrites from his site.

So does anyone have an opinion on this?

I just chucked about two pages of Surprises part 12 because after writing it under the influence of trashy techno pop it turned into a sappy romance that didn't make any sense. (Now I know some people are saying "Hey isn't that par for the course with your writing." but it was really bad.)

A familiar face in making an entrance in EarthFall episode 2 part 2 and is the third of six people from the show (Daria) that are currently planned on being in the story. (More might pop in later on.)

Not much happening on PPMB today but Doggieboy has said he'll try to have Part 5 of A Little Vacation up tomorrow or Monday so there's hope.

Have you guessed I really like this story yet.

Well I'm working on Part 12 for surprises and part 2 for EarthFall at the moment and might get them done before the end of the weekend.

Power was out as soon as I got home yesterday. Took till nine to get if up again. So I spent the afternoon doing everything but being on the PC. AND IT SUCKED.

Anyway working on my various stories which are suffering due to my recent sced change but I should be back on track in a few more days.

I'm starting a new work sced so I'm not sure how that's going to affect my writing but I'm pretty sure I'll be in the swing of things in a few days. I really hate it when a sced change makes me work 6 days in a row. Ok I'm spoiled.

Seriously a lot of good stuff and you should go support a writer or artist.

Now remember when dealing with zombies it's not how fast you run but rather the person with you. I recommend a swift downward rake to the shin to slow them down.
